New Story, New Career, New Blog
You'd be forgiven for thinking that I had given up writing and gone into hiding but you would be very wrong. The fact that I don't update this blog very much is no direct reflection upon my productivity, i'm just not very good at remembering to write this blog. The truth is that I have so much going on at the moment that my writing has taken a bit of a back seat. Since the beginning of the year I have been busy making preparations to start training as a Nurse, and that has taken up a lot of my time. And then the old Corona hit and that sent everything out of whack for a while. But now I'm almost back on track and thought I'd just fill you all in on where I'm currently at. I'm still writing. Nothing is ever going to stop me writing as it is and always will be my first love. In fact you may or may not have noticed that I have a new story out. Adding to my list of publishers is Terror Tract, and in their most recent edition you can find my rather gory and slightly sexy monster story 'SHEATH'. If you want a read here's the LINK. This publishing credit pushes my output up to 4 for 2020. In case you missed the others they were DEAD TOWN, part two of the Dead Trilogy published by Kyanite Publishing. THE DEAD LANDS in Shallow Waters Vol.5 published by Crystal Lake Publishing. And my very own CHILDREN OF WAR the first part of my new sci-fi series. Behind the scenes I've also been busy at work on a few other projects, including the long overdue A LITTLE MORE TIME and the second book in the MASONIC PLAGUE series. On top of all that I'm still very much doing my part as part of the editorial team for Bandit Fiction, which gives me a nice little break from my own stuff once a week.
Come September, I head back to university again. This time I'm starting an MSc in Nursing (Learning Disabilities) and for the next few years my workload will be intense, however I still intend to continue writing away and hopefully popping the odd thing out. I'm currently in the process of writing the third and final part of the DEAD TRILOGY which I'm really excited about. This all leads me on to the final part of this post, a new blog. You may wonder why I would even entertain the idea of a new blog when I obviously have so much trouble remembering to write this one, but bear with me. The new blog, which has actually been running for a little while already is all about my journey to become a fully registered nurse within the NHS. It's a place for me to document my experience as a mature student returning to university and undertaking what I've been told many times already is an intense yet rewarding course. A not considerable change in my career, but a very significant progression. I consider it a natural evolution in my caring career. So, if you are interested to see what a student nurse gets up to then you may like to check out that blog at www.studentnursenhs.wordpress
I've also repurposed an old twitter account connected to it @12secondreview
